The Aegis Product Marketing Forum
The forum is a three-day program based on Collaborative Consulting, an interactive mix of instruction, market simulations, case studies, and hands-on experience that enables software publishers to succeed in today’s ultra-competitive environment. It is the only program of its type that focuses exclusively on software marketing. Not "high tech." Not hardware. Software.
The Forum deals with the realities of today's software industry, not theory. Forum sessions are held on site after consulting with your company on its specific needs and direction. A limited number of sessions are held at public locations during the year. During the sessions, attendees will:
- Examine software marketing and sales campaigns and learn what's working, what's not, and why.
- Work through a series of product launch simulations to get "hands-on" experience with the processes involved
Participate in mini-clinics where actual software packages, collaterals, web sites, ads, and promotions are examined and critiqued for effectiveness. We'll even examine YOUR materials.
- Learn to use powerful marketing tools designed to help your company successfully execute the "heavy lifting" of managing and controlling effective marketing and sales campaigns.
All forum sessions are led by software marketing veterans using real-life examples, case studies, class exercises, and mini-clinics. In the Direct Marketing session, for example, we look at actual direct mail pieces and offers, both good and bad. Forum participants will create their own electronic direct mail piece. (It’s not as easy as it looks!). At the conclusion of the forum, all attendees receive a copy of The Product Marketing Handbook for Software, 4th Edition, the Aegis product positioning and product marketing workbooks, and the complete set of the Aegis Software Marketing and Sales Templates.
